So What's The Shebang On Boomerang?
Boomerang Barter Exchange started from the uncontrollable urge of a couple frustrated mortgage brokers, who just happen to be brothers that can't seem to separate professionally. Mike and Andy Culver had been anticipating a downturn in the economy and decided to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and create a dynamic and creative way for businesses to expand their customer base, lower their operating costs, gain a competitive edge over their competition, and increase their bottom lines.
From a simple introduction into the barter industry with a Friday night carpet cleaning episode, the barter bug bit and there was no turning back!
After almost a year of preparation, research, and sleepless nights, not to mention spirited debates, disputes, and disagreements, (Mom only had to mediate once) the Culver brothers weighed anchor and set sail into the vastly uncharted seas of barter commerce.
Behold the birth of Boomerang Barter!
So What's In Store For Boomerang?
The beauty of starting a business that caters to successful business owners is that we have the great opportunity to listen and learn from their past successes, missteps, and life challenges of being a business owner. We are truly grateful to be associated with each and every one of our Members and we want you to feel free to contact us any time with ideas, questions, concerns, and stories of how you're using Boomerang for your business.

For any company, (especially new ones) there's a fine line of balancing working in your business and working on your business. With many of the kinks worked out through beta testing with our Charter Members, here's what's in the third quarter pipeline:
Staffing!
Boomerang is now aggressively recruiting and training quality Trade Specialists to continuously enroll new Members and help to facilitate trade transactions.
New Website!
We are preparing to launch our new and updated website and user interface. The look and feel will be much easier on the eyes and will appeal to many prospective businesses visiting our site.
Bi Weekly Boomerang Blasts!
Keep an eye out every other Wednesday for an update of the latest offerings on the BoomerangBarter.com store front.
Boomerang Barter Card!
Many of you have seen the prototype, the programming is finished and the bugs are worked out. With your card you can call the toll free number on it and check your barter balance or post transactions over the phone in real time!
Boomerang Bucks!
Much like a travelers check, we'll be able to purchase $100 packets in $5, $10, and $20 denominations. What a great way to share your barter dollars with friends, family, and coworkers who aren't part of the exchange.
Boomerang Barter Affiliate Program!
Many of you have all ready helped in referring potential new Members to us. If you think you could help the cause, ask about becoming an affiliate and earn a little extra money when we enroll your referrals.
Updated Member Directory!
Advertise your company just like you would online, in a newspaper or in the yellow pages. A graphic rich template will allow you to upload pictures and custom designs to your posting in the Boomerang Directory.
The Boomerang Hanger!
While our online storefront is designated for our Members to primarily barter their new goods and services, many of you have expressed interest in unloading some used household and business items. The Boomerang Hanger will be a second store front much like our current one where we can buy and sell virtually anything our hearts desire. No more garage sales!
Business Networking and Social Events!
With around 3000 square feet and a beautifully designed office, we can't wait to invite all our Members to come meet, socialize, and get to know each other. Remember, barter business is only a small part of Boomerang's objective. Let's all work together in referring as many cash paying customers to each other as we can. Givers get!
Member Spotlight!
Periodically we will interview and write about different members in the exchange. This is a great chance for us to hear your stories of success and learn about your companies.
Boomerang Barter Debit Card!
As a licensed and regulated third party record keeper, (much like a bank) Boomerang is in negotiations to launch a customized Boomerang Barter pre paid debit card and payroll system. We're all ready learning payroll can be messy sometimes but with the click of a mouse we can all pay our employees electronically with often times a substantial savings in cost. Membership truly does have it's privileges!
Boomerang Barter Grand Opening Celebration!
We're excited to celebrate and share in the successful launch of Boomerang with all of you, our valued and potential Members, our friends and families. We will be catering in a large party for all. With a pool table, bubble hockey, and Nintendo Wii on the projection big screen, even the kids will have fun! Not to mention lots and lots of door prizes!

As you can see, lots of things are heading our way and we'll keep working hard to make Boomerang Barter Exchange a useful tool for your business.
